You love apple butter but you don’t have a slow cooker? Yo homegirl got your back!

Apple butter can be enjoyed as a sweet dip; on toasts, sundaes, granola, porridge and even on ice creams!
Prep time: 5 mins + 45 mins (Cooking)
Ingredients:

6-8 medium apples, peeled, cored & chopped
1 C water
1 tsp vanilla extract
Juice of 1 lemon
1/3 C brown sugar- add less or more according to your preference
1 tsp ground cinnamon
1/3 tsp ground nutmeg
1/4 tsp ginger powder

Method:

  1. Add all the ingredients in the saucepan and stir.
  2. Allow it to boil.
  3. Turn the heat down to low and simmer for 45-50 mins and stir occasionally.
  4. Blend the mixture in a food processor (or  mill, blender) until you reach a smooth consistency.

Stages of cooking- Allow the water to evaporate

Blend until nice and smooth
